A team of international scientists explore the origins of two the most awesome epidemic in the world, said a pandemic happens hundreds of years ago was caused by the same genetic variant. They warn that the new genetic variants can trigger an outbreak in the future.

The historian noted, the first Justinian plague happen the 6th century. Pandemics originate in China and killed 30 to 50 million people when it swept through Asia, North Africa, Arabia and Europe between 1347 and 1354. The experts believe the plague, which is caused by bacteria carried by rodents that, follow the collapse of the Roman Empire.

According to to a study released in 2010 and 2011, the Black Death or the Black Death killed about 75 to 200 million people in Europe and North Africa. Experts say the outbreak is more powerfulwhich also comes from Asia appears back in the 1800s. Justinian Plague and the Black Death caused by different genetic variants of the same bacteria.

Experts linking genetic findings of the second pandemic with digging and analyzing DNA bodies of people who died in the period of Justinian plague and the Black Death.

Hendrik Poinar, an ancient DNA from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, to say the bacteria that causes the plague is transmitted by rodents. In an interview, Poinar said that the source of the Black Death still exists among people living in Madagascar and the American Southwest, it is a sign of bacterial resistance.

" The current outbreak squirrels or prairie dogs in the American Southwest , all descendants of the Black Death . Thus , the Black Death is much more successful in spreading to the rest of the world while Justinian appeared and basically disappear by itself . "

As with other infectious diseases , Poinar noted the importance of supervision to ensure the outbreak is not a pandemic . Poinar noted that cities are much cleaner today than a few centuries ago and there are things that he says will reduce the likelihood of a pandemic it reappears .

" London in 1348 is probably the place dirty . And now , we have antibiotics that can fight the epidemic. And of the cities we are in better condition and able to deal with such an attack , " said Poinar .
Monitoring the source of the outbreak area was very important , Poinar said , mainly because global warming can make rodents seeking food and water to the residential areas .

Articles researchers Canada, Australia and America about the origin of this outbreak was published in the journal The Lancet Infectious Diseases .
